hugger orange 67 GMC long step 3/4ton is my favorite because that is what i am building but from what i have seen lots of people prefer the 67-68 models because they are more swept back and they are harder to find a front clip of one for a decent price but i like them all

i think yhe best one is the one you have at the time, you enjoy fixing up & are proud to be seen in. Have owned several trucks & always wish i had the last one back after selling it. I never really liked the 67 or 68 till i traded for the one i have now. now the 67 is my favorite i wonder why that is.

I would think if you took a plain '71 short wheelbase truck and made a loaded fleetside with an updated drivetrain (fuel injected/overdrive) and AC that it would be worth decent money without being numbers matching just because the market is geared towards ''drivers'' right now. A classic body style with modern appointments. But if you went through all the work why bother selling? I have always felt if you are in this for the money the return doesn't make it worth it.

And an added note, when I was a pup, my dad had a 69 c20 Custom Camper special, BB, A/C, P/S, P/B, back on black. God how I wish I had that truck. Oh well. Back then and for many years, there was nothing better than the 69-70's to me. As you age your taste may change.

My fav was the 69-70 until I got this 68 beater. Now there is nothing better than 67-68's with added power disc brakes. The origional drum brakes really do suck.

My order (JMHO) number 1: 67-68, number 2: 69-70, close 3rd: 71-72.

My perfect driver would be 71-72 mechanicals with 67-68 bodies.

I think that maybe short 1/2 tons are the most desirable for all years.

CPNE - Is the 67 GMC you mentioned yours? I would like to see pics. I saw a 351 V6 for sale a while back on EBAY. It would have been cool in my 72 GMC K2500 4x4. Too bad it was in Connecticut!

67-68 swb fleetside. Love that sleek frontend, and especially like that the 67 has no side marker lights. Used 67 fenders on my 68 project and we will be shaving the ones on the bed.

You know in my opinion it doesn't matter. My brother had one, I have always loved them. and when I found one for sale that I liked / could afford / and the wife said yes.

The year and/or style didn't matter.

As long as it had a Bowtie on the front.
