Question What are these tabs of material for?

I'm upholstering my interior and doing the door panels and can't figure out what the extra material is for. Anyone know? Can I just cut the excess material off? I really want to cut it off, and get these installed today but am scared!

Re: What are these tabs of material for?

They're perforated and I'm sooooooo tempted to cut them off and install today.

Re: What are these tabs of material for?

I am no expert, but maybe they are pull tabs, so you can grab ahold of the material and pull it tight. I dunno, just maybe.
