throttle linkages

Ok so I changed the intake and carb on my 64. Its got a 283 in it with edelbrock intake and carb now, is there a way to use the factory gas pedal and rod??? I Know I could just buy a new pedal assembly that pulls. If you got any pics of how you did it, post em up..................thanks

Re: throttle linkages

I did the same exact thing and I just bought about a foot of 1/4 inch allthread and bent it to fit. It worked great! I bought some heim joints to make a fancier one but never got around to using them.

Re: throttle linkages

This is the stock linkage for a 67 Camaro 396/375 that I bought from a restoration vendor. As you can see it is in two pieces...the thinner front portion threads into the thicker rear portion making the rod adjustable for length. Works mint. Shown as installed on my 64 C10.

Re: throttle linkages

thanks for all the pics and info, for some reason i thought the rod pushed towards the front of the truck but it pulls back like a normal cable would.

Re: throttle linkages

Wife wanted a tunnel ram on it but I wanted some bottem end left so I went with the 4 hole 2" plastic spacer and a 6" aircleaner spacer to get my scoop through the hood until I can afford to pony up 4G's for my blower, could be a while.

The return springs & bracket are a Moroso kit, bought from Summit Racing.
