Wiring harness question

I got the chance to buy a engine harness (aftermarket) not really sure what manufacturer but the harness is for a big block. Is it relatively the same as a small block 350 harness ? I figured they would be but I figured I would ask here before I get it. The guy parted out his truck and I made it too late for any goodies.

Re: Wiring harness question

Go to www.wiringharness.com and compare the part numbers for both a small block and the big block the harness was intended for. It will ask for things like transmission (or not) and whether or not it had guages. But getting the power from the junction block to the guages and for the other things that are part of that harness shouldn't really have anything to do with it being for a small block or a big block. Power to the ignition switch shouldn't change. Power to the distributor shouldn't change. Starter wiring should be the same. What else could impact it?
