1955 Prostreet
Thought I would post a couple of pics on this section of the board. This is my 1955 Chevy 2nd series I am building. I just finished the back half. Now I will install a IFS up front and start building my 496 BBC.

Re: 1955 Prostreet
Looks good. How much clearance between the Tires and framerails? Looks real tight.

Re: 1955 Prostreet
I agree.... sure does look good.... I'm hoping to take the cab/bed (body off) iour C10 in a few more weeks. Got a few "honey do's" to finish up on and some "just for now" work on the El Camino I just picked up (my daily driver).

Re: 1955 Prostreet
From the widest part of the tire to the frame rail is 1-3/4". I have 1-1/2" from tire to fender lip. This tire size just fit. I contacted Mickey Thompson and got the specs I would need before finishing everything. They told me 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" tire to whatever clearance so it was perfect.

Re: 1955 Prostreet
That's wicked... I have a '57 big window that I'm rebuilding. I've had it since 1989. I brought it home from Riverside, CA. It's been in pieces in the garage since 1997. I've got a '73 XJ6 IRS for it but I like what you've done also. I've got a '73 454 that I'm going to stroke to a 496 next spring.
I'm thinking about the prostreet look! Thanks for some inspiration! Kenny
