Cool Junkyard - 73-87 rare RPO electrocrank!!

Went "Yarding" Saturday for stuff for the 80 and the 73 Blazer, and saw this interesting door. I realize it's probably an aftermarket set-up. But, it took a moment to catch my eye.

BTW - I picked up: Rearview for the Blazer, 73 Cruise lever w/pigtail, glove box liner and a 87 Blazer center console. Tried to score a shift collar from a 77 cheyenne tilt column (my 73 is worn out), brought all the right tools to make it easy, got it down to removing the knuckle bolts and springs and saw it was cracked underneath the shift lever!! Dangit!! 1/2 hour of sweaty work (97º Saturday) wasted!

I believe that is a regular old production combination, manual windows with power locks. Seen it before a few times...

Re: Junkyard - 73-87 rare RPO electrocrank!!

Actually there is an aftermarket company that makes power window kits that use stock looking window cranks. It's been several years back since I've seen them, but I do remember seeing them advertised in Street Rodder Magazine. A lot of guys have used them in their old street rods. I'm sure that they are still around, I just haven't seen them advertised for a while, but then again, I don't buy magazines as much as I used to either. I'm with these guys on this particular situation though. it's most likely a factory setup. Manual windows, power locks. I have seen this combination before as well. ...Joe

Re: Junkyard - 73-87 rare RPO electrocrank!!

What kind of shape was the door and cab in? What would a junk yard charge for a door? a cab?

I've got a '86 burb with manual windows but power locks aka electrocrank. Kinda pointless, wish it had electric windows so I'd have extra power window motors.
