Pretty C10 in Austin asking far too much IMO
Engine bay looks edible. Paint is chipped in several spots. Interior and underside look REALLY nice. I don't like the no chevrolet on the back, didnt have the NOS grille either (for 18k, i want it to say Chevrolet, dammit) |

Nice truck. I bet there is more than the asking price invested.

Re: Pretty C10 in Austin asking far too much IMO
catch 22...
If you have a comparable truck or your selling one, you hope he gets between 15K and the asking price If your buying, you probably want it to go for 10+K |

Re: Pretty C10 in Austin asking far too much IMO
Why do you say to much $$$$? Probably that much just in parts in that truck. Would I pay that, no, just because if I am spending that kind of money I want it my way.

Re: Pretty C10 in Austin asking far too much IMO
There could be more money in a truck than what it`s worth. It`s what you use and how you put it together that makes a truck worth a given price.
Where are the windshield washers?I judge by pictures. It is a big block and could be a top notch mechanical resto that just comes up short on cosmetics. It`s a dealer,it`s fresh, and I get the vibe that it was put together expecting to jump on the popularity bandwagon to get all they can out of it with as little in it as possible. It`s what used dealers do.I`d pay that to a guy that could tell me everything about the truck, first hand.I personally don`t like the unique color combo or choice of wheels and tires.I think it`s 33% overpriced for what I see.If it`s an original Custom/10 396 it would be worth more in original paint color and with as much GM parts on it as possible. It would be worth more if it was a custom with the latest trends, too. Those look like M/T IIs which are off road wheels,it`s not lowered, did it have 6-lug disc brakes or was that left "stock"?I just think you either need to upgrade or stay original.Half way shouldn`t get the big bucks.

I agree with you which is the main reason I decided to redo mine instead of buying someone's finished truck. The money goes really quick believe me I know it first hand....

Re: Pretty C10 in Austin asking far too much IMO
I will have that plus in my truck resto-but-it's my truck and I am NOT going to sell her trying to make a profit. My truck is also fully loaded with factory options, has 5 lug wheels, it will have the original paint colors, and it will have 4 wheel disc brakes. This truck looks nice from the pics but it looks to be a "flip" truck and the little details were left off to make it special. Would I pay $18K. No. Is it worth $18K? Yes to the seller. I agree with the previous comments that original parts with paint colors would have added value. JMHO

Re: Pretty C10 in Austin asking far too much IMO
For some guy or gal who wants a truck to drive it's perfect. The salesman will tell them everything they need to know about it and they will be happy....if the right person comes along. Yes the right person! The truck is only worth that much if the right person comes and see's it.
Also think about this: If the underneath is right and motor truck numbers are all matching then your battle is half done. Repaint and sale it for 30,0000.

Re: Pretty C10 in Austin asking far too much IMO
I think its an awesome $12,000 truck !
as is, for 18k, i'd rather have an ac dash -- at least the Ac brackets on the BB are factory, but look mid to late 70's The color is pretty cool
