Wheel spacers from 6 to 5 lug???

I've got a 68 longbed that someone installed 5 lug disc brakes on the front and left the rear alone-6 lug pattern. Don't want to spend the bucks now for new axles, I thought of spacers. What do you think? Any experience with them? I'd like to leave the 5 in the front as is and change the 6 in rear to a 5. Hate having 2 different spare tires!!! Where can you buy them?

Re: Wheel spacers from 6 to 5 lug???

Thanks Ron. I tried one of these guys and he said "he couldn't help me". I'd like to use spacers as opposed to changing the rear axles cause of the expense, and I like having the 5 hole discs. Seems you can buy wheels w/ 5 lug pattern easier than 6. Any ideas?

Raymo, Which one told you they could not help ya? I have emailed one and have to call him back but have not called Wired Harolds yet.
You can always go this route, they have 1", 1.5" and 2" with 7/16" lugs

I wouldnt do it --- i would rather carry 2 spares for no longer than it will take you to get either some axles and drums for the back, or new rotors for the front

Try to put back $100 a month and you will be able to fix it the right way in 3 months

Re: Wheel spacers from 6 to 5 lug???

I'll soon be in the same boat, thought about having rear axles drilled for 5-lug pattern 'cause 5 bolt axles are too long for my '67(putting 5 bolt discs on front)

If you use GOOD Quality Wheel spacers/adapters you should not have any problems if they are properly installed.

I don't know, but something about wheel spacers just doesn't sit well with me even though I'm sure it's perfectly safe.
