Lexan windows

I put electric lexan windows in mine and lost 15 lbs . No way was I gonna give up the ability to role down my windows . Now I can roll both down as soon as i get off the track . Sorry no pics but you cant tell the difference anyway . It still looks stock .

Did you go the same thickness as the glass, or thinner?

Regan did you do the windshield to or just the side windows? Seems like a waste to loose 15 lbs.

for a average daily driver this is not necissary at all. but for a strip vehicle that is a pretty dramatic diff not to mention required. when 100 pounds can determine if you run low 12s or high 11s ect.

oh yeah spl cars use lexan due to the fact it does bend more to a degree and resists shattering.


i havent ever seen someone fit the lexan in but i have seen it just heated over old windsheild then screwed on

I used 3/16 Marguard . They have been in there for two years now and are holding up pretty well . I used an Ididit electric kit and cut the old handle mech off of my old regulators (so my old window cranks are still there). For the switches I mounted the ones that came with the kit down between the seat and the trans tunnel so they are kinda hidden (and easy to reach when belted in). I still have the glass windshield . I have driven racecars with lexan windshields and just dont care for them . As far as the side windows go most people dont notice that they arent glass .
