got the 3/4 ton front x member install

here are some pics of taking the 1/2 ton torson bar front out and installing the 3/4 ton front x member and the 14 bolt rear that will be put in in a couple of days.thanks to my friends that are helping since i am still not able to do the work cause of neck surgery.

my other question is i have a set of coils from a 84 chevy 1/2 ton that i think will work am i right.thanks for any input

Hey Vinny, u got some good friends! your truck build is coming along.

as for the coils, i beleive i used a set of early 80's 1/2 ton lowered coils on my 64 c10 long ago. fit without issue. so for a C-20 3/4 you should be just fine. overall outside diameter of the springs did not change.

please post pics of 14b rearend installwhen ya can. i'm to use a late model 14b rearend in my 64 c20 soon. just need to get it regeared to 3.42 first.

hey 64 as soon as i get the origonal pinon angle from me old eaton i will be starting the rear end install it will be just tacked welded for the fact i only have a 110 wire feed welder for now but my freind is going to take it to his shp so i can weld with a much better welder and will post pics soon. my buddys want it to be a roller in a week or two and the motor and trans in place and cab on. got to love your buddys.
