need some help/info please, 3/4 ton disc conversion

I got a friend that we are going to convert his front suspension to discs, but he wants to do it on the cheap. it has the 8 on 6.5 bolt pattern, what donor vehicle do we need to keep the 8 on 6.5's and go to discs?

3/4 or 1 ton components?

I am believing but am not sure that we can use the 73-87 1 ton control arms, spindles, rotors and calipers since they have the 8 on 6.5 pattern.

Forgive me if this has been covered as my searches found only 1/2 ton conversions which i know well.

Thanks in advance
Spence

i took a x-member from wheel to wheel out of a 80 3/4 ton truck and bolted it in my 60 1/2 ton frame all you have to do is drill a couple of new holes in the frame to make it work.hope that helps

All 3/4 tons with 8 lug wheels used the 6.5" pattern. The newer trucks have 6 lug, but I don't know what year they changed.

One tons, for the most part had 8 lugs. If the truck had duals, the suspension was heavier. Due to the dual wheel offset, the front suspension was wider, so avoid the dually trucks.
