rear axle c10

I want to get a spare rear axle for my 71 c10 suburban, and now someone here is offering an axle from a 68 c10 pickup.

Can i use that on my suburban? is it the same?

Re: rear axle c10

You need to know if they both have the same spring type. It could be leaf-spring or coil-spring. Also, I believe thatthere is a total length difference, with the '68 being shorter. It is necessarily different because of being a suburban, just the year.

Re: rear axle c10

Mine is 5 lug, so it won't be an option for me.
