Window Tint or Not?

Was thinking about tinting my side windows and back. The back is already tinted, but it's kinda bluish purple and looks old. I don't know if i want limo black kinda dark, or something lighter. Any recommendations?

Re: Window Tint or Not?

I used to tint widows. I will say this. It keeps the uv rays from fading out your interior as well. I would tint them 35%

I know in Texas the Air Conditioner needs all the help it can get. Besides if you later deside you don't want the tint take a razor blade to it and scrap it off.

yeah, unless your truck is in the garage all the time, tint will save the interior. there's really lighter tint out there too. 50% or 35%, When I see darker than dark on all windows, then see a low brow of tint on windshield I think a kid is driving the vehicle.

Re: Window Tint or Not?

Get a good metalized tent = more heat rejection.
The darker limo tints will actually make your truck hotter…..

Scraping it off? I don’t think it’s that easy….

Re: Window Tint or Not?

My glass always hazy..... I haven't seen it clear ever..... I try to clean it at least once a week, but it's always just crappy looking.... Also, i think my window fuzzies are coming off on the side windows....
After driving around today in the constant rain to and from work, my biggest issue just popped up..... Fogging glass. I could not, for the life of me keep it from fogging up.... I do not have a/c, just defrosters. I had the defrosters up on high and the window cracked, this kept me from killing anyone on the way home..... I went to advance auto parts and they don't carry rain-x anti fog anymore... anyone have any advice for this crap.

Re: Window Tint or Not?

Taking the tiny off is not that bad......Razor Blade and a good aerosol glass cleaner.......Pretty easy once you get a good start......As far as the Rain-X There should be an applicator pad.....pour the Rain X on that and i just put it on as if i am cleaning a window.......A paper towel will work as an applicator also....Cover the whole area and let it HAZE fully.......Then simply wipe it off.......I ran Sweat Pea for about 3 years with NO wipers and use it regularly ............Worked Great for my Needs..........

Re: Window Tint or Not?

I'm asking about Rain-X anti fog... I use the regular Rain-X on the outside. Anti fog is applied to the inside of the glass. I wish i could find the bottle i got laying around somewhere.

Re: Window Tint or Not?

I saw a 68 the other day and it had a very light tint. I am not a tint fan but the light tint looked clean and crisp.

Does anyone have problems with the rain x on the OUTSIDE fogging up?

I had recommended it to someone and they later said it had "fogged up" the glass real bad he said.... I'm not sure how he applied it, I have always cleaned my glass prior to application.
Rain X rocks.
