Anyone installed 235 engine in 66 model or newer?

I made a mistake by purchasing a 235 straight six engine for my 66 Chevy. Lesson learned, I just need to make engine mounts to make this work since I don't want to loose $300 for the price of a motor/transmission.

Has anyone installed a 235 in their 66 or newer chevy pickup? If so, can you assist with some motor mount picture/information?

I'm pretty sure you need the front 'U' mount take make this work. They're scarce, but can be found. First place to look would be at the Arlington Swap meet next weekend. (If I remember, I'll post a picture of mine so you know what to look for).

The other possibility is to build one yourself, 1/4" (maybe 3/8") plate, cut to the right dimensions (uses the holes on the front of the engine) and a flange welded to the aforementioned plate. Never mind -- unless you've got a full shop, it's going to cost more than the engine did.

if the insulator is still there on the frt of the eng then he just needs a crossmember to sit it on and to bolt thru and as he would have the bell housing mounting that would sufice
