Advice on dash pad

I just installed this dash pad a few months ago. It's from LMC .There is a bump where the built in hardware sits in the pad to bolt it to the dash.Anyone have this issue before and know how to fix it?It's only on the one side of the dash pad.

It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Advice on dash pad

Take a flashlight and look inside the glove box over top to see if all the holes are filled.

The studs is there and I have the nut tight but it just doesn't pull that part of the dash pad down.I think the stud isn't attached properly to the dashpad. It's not pulling the top part of the pad down above the stud.

i still think your pad is not seated all the way down,I'd loosen it up and try again.Mine did the same thing!
they are threaded and your probably caught on a thread of the bolt...it will tighten up but its not allowing the pad to sit flush.

Re: Advice on dash pad

it is the aftermarket urethane dash dilema. Camaros, Chevelles, etc, are all made by the same company and there are some issues. The only way to make it go away is to glue that spot down. Unfortunately no ta lot of choices in companies for aftermarket dash pads.

Re: Advice on dash pad

I had a similar problem on my 72. I took all the screws back out then installed only the tops and tighten them and the istalled the lowers.

Re: Advice on dash pad

Tightened it too much and the bolt came off the metal strip that is seated in the dash.oops. I took the pad out and the bolt was at the edge of that strip probably not seated properly so the bolt and about an inch of that strip are now out of the way so I'll see later how it sits with one missing bolt.
