lifting a 2wd?
Has anyone ever used 88-up lift spindles on a 73-87 1/2t 2wd? If so,what did you have to do? Thanks

Re: lifting a 2wd?
My son did. He had AIM Industrries in Mesa Az build it, well using the "A" arms he had built w/ stock spindles. The did not work very well and the truck was totaled in an accident. There was another company, pretty popular, all their stuff is blue, but I cannot recall their name, but they no longer carry the lift for our years.

Re: lifting a 2wd?
You might check this thread ( http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=304940) as he used 88-98 parts to convert his to 6 lug. The same concept should work to use 88-98 lift spindles. I threw this idea around about 4 yrs ago but never got that far since I busted the frame on my 82. A lift spindle is the best way to lift a 2wd without going full custom. As far as I am aware nobody currently produces lift spindles for 73-87. AIM did but I have never heard anything good about them.
