Tail light upgrade?
Have any of you heard of a upgrade fo rthe tail lights? My passenger side brake lamps burn out regularly. I've been told that GM has a upgrade kit that converts from the twist in bulbs to the push in plastic base type. Have any of you guys heard of this? Do you know if I could get it elsewhere other than the dealer? Please let me know if you know anything.Thanks.

I haven't heard of anything like that. All the trucks I have ever had never had a problem burning out lights. Sounds like a wiring problem.

They have that option for the '88 - '98 body style trucks. In fact, the parts were just upgraded, so if you buy a bulb holder it is automatically the one that uses the push in style bulbs.

RD,
' sounds like its particular to your vehicle. I've had three (78 - 81) Blazers and a 77 Pickup, never had the problem or heard of the alleged upgrade for this vintage. ' doesn't mean it doesn't exist though. Jack
