if worse comes to worse, it's 12 cents a pound for scrap value around here

. i just hauled a complete 10 bolt out of an 85 blazer (345 pounds) plus a 37 La Salle rear differential that was complete from drum to drum and about 1500 pounds of other assorted crap. it's sad to junk it all but stuff isn't selling and i need to clean up around here. i have a nice old wedgewood stove and it's next if someone doesn't buy it soon, i'm guessing it's about 450 pounds.

Thanks for the good luck .. I figured I would give it a couple of days on here and craigslist before I removed the flat top knuckles and scrapped it.. I actually have three more of them slated for my scrap metal garbage can (a 69 3/4 ton CST)
Right now scrap here is about 18 cents a pound. which is half of what it was 2 weeks ago and they predict it to drop even further! oh well!! I just hauled in a 67 GMC 1/2ton with a V6 and 4spd still in it and it only brought $240 (4300lbs)

You heard it will drop further? I thought I read somewhere it was supposed to go up after the Olympics. Probably best to just take the scrap in as you have it ready to go...

Jason.. I have a nice set of dust shields and a fairly nice pair of chrome hub covers, I can take a picture tomorrow of them and post it if you like. I would like $50 plus shipping for all 4 pieces.

Dana.. Yes I have a 3:73 rear axle to go along with the front ends.. I actually have two 3:73 front ends, 1 from a 72 and 1 from a 78 (the 78 style has solid thick steel backing plates and caliper mounts), IMHO is preferable to the 72 style,
If you are interested shoot me a call soon as both front ends are slated to go into the scrap metal pile about Wed.

Jeff.. Sorry but I do not have any T-221 stuff... are the torque mounts different than the 205 and Dana 20? I have both of those.

Ya, the one for 221 is angled where it mounts to the xfer case. It angles up towards the floor board, and passenger side of the case. I think the 205 is straight up and down on the case mount.

1972CST... yes the Dana 3:73 carrier is different than your 3:08, the same with the 12 bolt rear end.
