WIW - Three speed and all ancillary stuff
I am swapping (long story - not really my choice) to an a833 and I have the whole three speed setup, tranny, bellhousing, crossmember, clutch fork and shift linkage. Is this stuff worth anything? How much will someone pay for it? I don't really need it for anything and it will drive my wife nuts.
Any ideas? Thanks -Brian

Re: WIW - Three speed and all ancillary stuff
I actually might be interested, but with the holidays coming up I don't know when I might be in the Greenville area.

Re: WIW - Three speed and all ancillary stuff
Well, it's a WIW, so.... what's it worth to you?
If we did end up making a deal it's only two hours away. We could meet halfway or something if you needed it badly.

Re: WIW - Three speed and all ancillary stuff
This stuff is still available with the exception of the crossmember. I can't figure out how to get it out without cutting it in half. On the other hand, I can give you access to the truck and my tools and my hands and we could take it out if you know how and really want it.

Re: WIW - Three speed and all ancillary stuff
i dont actually need it, but the crossmember can be taken out with an air hammer and a good strong sharp chisel.. chisel the rivit heads off, then use a punch on said air-hammer and knock the rivits out of the frame. thats what i did when i converted my 71 C10 from a 3 speed to 5 speed
i am needing a brake pedal assembly with clutch pedal, z-bar, z-bar frame bracket, z-bar engine bracket, and both linkages.. dont need the crossmember or tranny. if you were closer i'd offer to trade you the auto stuff

Re: WIW - Three speed and all ancillary stuff
Well I re-used all of that stuff - sorry man. The deal is that the rivets are facing the wrong way. I would have to take off the cab to get the rivets out the way you're describing. Maybe I am a wuss.

Re: WIW - Three speed and all ancillary stuff
ah ok ive got ya. i guess technically i did mine backwards, i knocked the bottem sides off, not the ones towards the cab. it worked but it took about a hour and half of constant air-chiseling
