Re: Hello and a little help..
Ive seen a few of the extended cabs, i think the back windows dont flow as well as they should like newer trucks (size just looks odd) but they are interesting and dont see many. Id buy one if i could find one for the right price.

Re: Hello and a little help..
Yep the side windows do look a bit odd like you say "in the flow" of the truck. I will look at this one today and see what kinda shape it is in.
thanks again. |

Re: Hello and a little help..
UNDERDOG1 welcome to the forum. I had to edit your post a bit due to forum rules. Regarding your find on Craigslist, take a look at the area where the cab was extended very closely. This is a common are for rust to start as the shops that did these conversion didn't take proper precaution to treat all the areas to prevent rust.
Beyond that, this truck will probably be exactly what you need. It is probably a long wheel base frame with the bed cut down and the cab extended.

Re: Hello and a little help..
Your current truck sure is nice. As far as the extended cab goes--It just isn't appealing to me, it would be real hard to for me to get rid of the swb for that goofy looking extended cab.
Don't know if it fits the bill or not, but I sure am enjoying my blazer--I wish I would have bought one years ago. The back seat folds down and I have been able to fit everything I've needed to back there. And the bed area behind the rear seat is perfect for the dogs. Just throwing that out there.

Re: Hello and a little help..
Bob those are Centerline Wheels from their "Billet Series"-LINK I don't see that style listed any more, and I can't remember what they called them.

Re: Hello and a little help..
thanks for the pics and the PM Underdog1 wife likes em even better close up and i was thinking they would also look cool with a center kinda like a rallye cap.. in the scheme of things we will replace the wheels/rims on ours after we do bodywork perhaps next year

Re: Hello and a little help..
Those extended cabs are just too goofy looking. The extended portion isn't really long enough to be useful either.

Re: Hello and a little help..
old Rusty C10,when you get your wheels I'd like to see them.
Pyrotechnic, I dropped the idea of that extended cab deal...all the things y'all said was true and I never really was real serious more curious ans besides it was ugly as heck,it also had rust where everyone said it would. Hoods69BadBowTie & Geno H, thanks...it is not quite as nice in person but close, definatly not like N2TRUX (love that truck) it needs a paint job (it has faded to 70 % bare metal on the roof), dash has 2 cracks and the driver side of the seat is pretty worn. It is all original w/ the exception of the drop.I could go for a 350 vs the stock original 305 but I do love it,reminds me of growing up. I have only had it since April, I set out to get me a paid in full/no note truck that was relativly inexpensive to work on and not as complicated, also that would be a DD and a hunting truck at the time I could not find a long bed that was not junk so I got this one. And have always wanted another. Most of my life I have driven Nissan p/u's (sorry) so now I am looking to get a long bed w/ stock satnce as the black one just wont due the way we hunt, have found a coupple that I may go for after this hurricane is done with. That way my boy can get the black one f it all works out in a year or two. Here is my old hunting truck, now thw wifes ride for the baby and family vehicle etc. The 79 I will maybe go after when this storm is done.
