You may want to give GMC Paul a call, but I think the 68-70 GMC grills are going to be made soon.
There is a GMC down the street with an ugly bar type grill on it...not sure if that's what your talking about. I'll see if i can't get a pic of it tomoroa if I get off of work before night fall.

FYI folks, the only difference between the '69-'70 and '71-'72 grilles is a matter of paint/chrome.

My dad maintains that this sweet chrome face came originally done up '71 style, half-black...

(Oh, and yes, this is a real truck front end. Hehe. Only ones I like better are the '67 and '68 GMC grilles in that order.)

Actually, there is a depression differance in the 68-70 verses 71/72 grills.

*retracts previous statement*

How much of one? That could be proof as to whether my dad was dreaming or not...

Look at this beauty, I'll bet some of you are jeleous.
Just joking (obviously) I wish I could find a 68 front end. A lifted 68 3/4 ton would be great.

I am jealous......I'd like to find a 3/4 ton GMC 4x4. There aren't many GMC's in my area, they are all bowties.

Mutual feelings

Man I dig the front of that GMC, all chromed out like that. I'd take one of every style and combination GMC & Chevrolet Truck ever made (67 -72) as daily drivers but, I have that little problem, the money. So I got the one that first drew me to these trucks since I was eight years old, it was a red 67 long bed, small rear window. Mine is actually green and a short bed. If you ask me, if Bill Gates doesn't own at least one these trucks he doesn't know how live.(lol)

IMO i would keep it GMC and make a custom insert to go behind the openings.Chevy seems to out number Gmc by 20 to 1 around here.

i am looking at buying a GMC front clip to put on my 72 Chevy. Everything on it is from a 67 with the exception of the grille. It's from a 68 GMC.

I would just get the 71-72 grill and remove the black paint. Only a purist would be able to tell the difference and it will look great

Exactly. Hell, I own mine, it's been in the family all 33 years, and I don't know what grille it really is!!!!
