Accidentally bought another one
I had been looking for a 55-59 for several months until I recently found another year I'd always liked (a '68) locally and bought that one. It runs and rives well and i needed a hauler right away so I bought it and then kind of stopped looking for a 55-59. Well my neighbor didn't stop looking and found me this 59 for a price I couldn't pass up so now I have two trucks after waiting months to get one.....
I think I'll keep my other one as a parts hauler and make this a full project. I want it low. I want to do some sort of IFS swap in front - I'm looking at a C4 clip or maybe a 73-87 truck IFS. Some sort of 4 link in the rear and bags. I have a 700r4 i could put in it but i kind of like the idea of an LT1 or LS1 or ramjet for efi. I want to have the nice new drive train and suspension and keep the exterior looking pretty much like it is. Either way, I'll probably be on here asking lots of questions now -Andy |

Re: Accidentally bought another one
That is a really nice looking truck to start with. All my junk is rusty. I think by the time I get started on my 58 the only thing left will be the title.

Re: Accidentally bought another one
"Accidentally"???
I'd have done it, but my girlfriend doesn't buy the "I accidentally bought another car/truck/engine". Kinda strange, she seems to "accidentally" buy shoes, dresses and dust collectors for the house. Looks like a good score, good luck with 'em. How about one hotrod and one daily driver? Reverse the color schemes on 'em and I think it would make a nice pair. |
