I am building a 56 but there are several vendors out there. I use LMC for most body stuff. Just google LMC trucks and look at their on line catalogues or order a free one that includes your year.

Re: '52 Chevy Pickup Cab Mount Bushings
i looked thru my classic industries catalog and didn't find any cab mount bushings. i checked the LMC catalog and site, and found a kit called the "cab/frame mount kit". but when i called LMC to ask if the kit included both the front and rear cab bushings, the answer was vague. the sales person didn't know and she went to check with someone else. the final answer was that they didn't exactly what was included in the kit.
so i was curious if there were other vendors or websites that i could check. the LMC price looked good, though. thanks |

Re: '52 Chevy Pickup Cab Mount Bushings
I thought they had a picture of the parts included in the "cab/frame mount kit" in one or several of the catalogues.
There might be some confusion as to what you are actually calling "cab mount bushings." Are they the heavy rubber pieces? Are they actually a bushing? Might not hurt to take a picture of them when they are out and post to see what the pro's are calling them. My hunch is they are part of the "cab/frame mount kit. Also a little odd that the LMC person did not know. Most of the ones I talked to where very informed. Sorry i could not be more help! 56hotrodred |

Re: '52 Chevy Pickup Cab Mount Bushings
the front connection looks like a bolt down thru the cab into the frame, with a rubber pad in between. the rear connections look like shackle bushings, with one end bolted to the side of the frame and the other leg attached to the underside of the cab. the bolts and steel parts are ok. just want to replace the rubber bushings. i'll probably go ahead and order the LMC kit ... the picture looks kinda right. i called LMC to verify the specific parts.
thanks for your responses. i appreciate it. |

On which side do the square steel washers go, between the cab and rubber or between the frame and rubber on the front mounts?

Re: '52 Chevy Pickup Cab Mount Bushings
I cut my front cab mounts and lowered them 1" then got body mount material and cut some 1" bushings and use washers on each side.
then in the back I made whole new mounts that mounts the back of the cab just like how the front is. With a 1" bushing and everything. Hopefully it will bring down any vibrations. |

Re: '52 Chevy Pickup Cab Mount Bushings
Any one of the vendors that sell parts and pieces for the AD trucks should be able to provide them.
Call Wes at http://www.classicheartbeat.com/ He doesn't show them online but I am pretty sure he has them or can get them for you and he is pretty particular about what he sells. If he won't put it on his own trucks he won't sell it to someone else. He isn't as good at checking his email as he should be so a phone call works best. |

Re: '52 Chevy Pickup Cab Mount Bushings
LMC is the easiest to pick the part you need because of the catalog pictures of the vehicle. However the people on the phone don't really know the parts. It's like your old maid aunt Louise was hired yesterday to man the phones. You will need to know the page number where you saw the part.
