Primer

How do I decide which primer to use? I have been considering ordering the brand pictured off of Ebay. I will be working on small sections of my truck at a time stripping down to metal to determine the extent of all work that needs to be done and want to coat everything with primer as the project moves along.

Why would I use one type of primer over another? I just have a cheap air gun I picked up at a garage sale and I figure it is time I do some bodywork for myself.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Primer

If you are going to strip panels down to bare steel- you'll want to spray on a decent Epoxy Primer after you've done any weld repairs, but before you apply any body filler. Personally, I use Kustom Shop Epoxy- it sprays well and is reasonably priced.

I get ALL my paint from Kustom Shop! The best stuff there is!
