Sat pics (9-13) Couple randoms and a last look at the 54

Wow! Gas is back up again but I'm still burning it! I read a sig a while back I liked......"Drive a hybrid...I need your gas!"

Doesn't everyone need a cannon?

I've always wanted to stop and get a shot of this sign.

Don't know why.

Spotted this chopper moving things on to the roof of where I work.

Christy's 54 is about to be down for some major work.....I felt some before shots were in order.

I really liked this view with the road stretching out in front of the car...

Anywho...I hope you like em! I'll bump em up with a couple edited versions tomorrow.

Thanks

Re: Sat pics (9-13) Couple randoms and a last look at the 54

Thanks guys. The 54 ia about to get disected in a major way. The 6cyl and manual trans are out. A V8 auto swap is coming in. Of course we're also ditching the torque tube rear and converting it to an open driveline. While it's down we're going to be altering the ride height a smidge. The front suspension is going to be stripped completely out and replaced with a Fatman ultralow crossmember. Out back she's getting a Gambino Customs step notch and a triangulated 4 link. Of course it's going to be bagged as well. We're also going to add air conditioning so that we can actually stand to drive it.

Re: Sat pics (9-13) Couple randoms and a last look at the 54

She's going to have a 350 with a Comp cams 268 camshaft, 1.52 roller tip rocker arms and an edlebrock performer intake and carb. The trans is a th350 with a B&M stock replacement Holeshot converter and a shift kit. The engine is already built and waiting patiently on the stand. The trans is also done and tied up in a plastic sack sitting in the garage floor. This ones going to be her daily driver so we kept it all pretty mild.

What wheels are those? They look really good - modern yet old school. Didn't you have something different on it before.

Re: Sat pics (9-13) Couple randoms and a last look at the 54

Thanks man! The wheels are Mickey Thompson Challengers. They're no longer available for sale unless you can find a used set. The only other wheels I've ran were 4x4 rallies. There's some pics with the rallies in the build thread link that I posted.

Great pics and love the '54. Looks good the way it is to me but I know it will still look good if not better when you finish it. Just don't trash the Inline 6.

Re: Sat pics (9-13) Couple randoms and a last look at the 54

The claws seem to be wearing pretty good so far.....I've had em on there about 6 years now.

Kade, her car already gets more attention than anything we've got. I've owned a lot of nice cars through the years but none of them get the attention and looks while we're out like that 54 does! Did you see the pics of your brothers Camaro in the Goodguys Gazette? It looked almost as good as it does in person!

I was talking about "her" getting the attention not the car Just kidding, that is going to be one cool ride Yes, that was a very good pic of my bros camaro. I told him that it sucked the year we both won there we didn't even get a pic and then he gets in there witout a win. My buddy with the wagon didn't even get much coverage which I figured it might get a whole page. It just goes to show it doesn't matter what it cost to build.
