The price looks good, the shipping not so much.

Lexan is a trade name as I understand it,, a product of the original patent holder (Dow I think) . Want to save that shipping,, your local Home Depot has the same 1/8" thick material under the name of "Pulsan".

A friend workes for the US Navy and has the MSDS on ,, well on everything and Lexan, Pulsan same same, just a BUNCH cheaper

One hint. make sure it's above 70° when you paint the INSIDE perimiter for the black mask (only one side will adhear paint). It hides all the ugliness of the silicone and rivets you hold it down with.

thats odd. i ran the shipping for 32 x 60 which should cover both sides of glass it was only $11.56 any bigger and you get charged freight on a big truck..

if you paint it tape it off and sand it and apply the paint to the backside. You will not see any of the sand scratches.

Also if you really want to get into the project, go to a hobby shop and get a paint called Pactra, it is what they use to paint polycarbinate R/C car bodies. As DJ said, use a Scotchbrite pad and scuff what you want to paint on the inside then paint the scratched part.
