trying to start my motor tomorrow! any suggestions?
hey i guys im going to try to start my 350 tomorrow and am kinda nervous about it because i am a rookie and this is my first time swapping a motor! i took outt my 305 and put in a 350 fuel injected swaped over to carberated! i think i did the distributer right but like i said earlier its my first time! i just want to know if i have to do certian thigs so i dont hurt my motor! any suggestions guys? thanks heres some pics for ya!

well id go over everything once more before you give it a go.. make sure all your fluids are good too and you should be ok

just make sure its full of oil and stuff... and go for it...if you didnt get the distibuter in right, it wont run, you'll notice it.. also its posible that if it isnt in right it could backfire threw the carb causeing a small fire. so Keep something near b in case of a fire... thats all I can think of

biggest pain in the ass is getting the dizzy to match up with the oil pump while trying to get it pointing at #1 cyl

put the key in the ignition and turn... best suggestion i can give
jk just make sure fluids are all full, and timing is set along with carb not set to crazy.I did the same thing with the motor i have now you will be fine just dont rush |

Prime the engine with oil. An oil priming too is easy to use with a drill. Drop the distributor in. Prime the fuel line twice. Crank it over! It should start by the second crank.
