One thing leads to another screw up
I pulled the steering wheel and etc. to replace my turn signal switch. In the process of fudging around, I shifted the lever out of park (where it was when I removed everything. Can I just try to put everything back and it will be able to shift BACK into park or have I created a problem for getting everything back together. Thanks in advance!

You should still be good. The lever will go back into place from any gear 'position'. (Or at least mine will?!?!?!)

Im alil unsure on what your question is...but if im understanding you correctly you dont think it will go back to park? Theres no saftey lock for the gear selector in 67-72s ..should go right back into park

you should be able to shift it in park as it sits, or, you can wait till it's put back together. The steering and turn signal are 100% seperate from the shifting.

Thanks to all who replied. Once the indicator switch was screwed back in iver the plate and bearing, all is well in the shift lever, now.
