Box tubing in Dallas area?
I'm trying to get some box tubing to build my backhalf and I wanted to know where everyone in DFW is getting their metal. I tried to get some in GP(no names), but I feel like I'm getting ripped! They wanted $350 for 20ft of 2x4-3/16 tubing. Another place wanted $300. Does that sound right?

Re: Box tubing in Dallas area?
Were the other quotes for HR or CR steel? There's usually a fairly significant gap in pricing for the two.

Re: Box tubing in Dallas area?
I would say that .188 wall is a bit overkill. I always use 2x4x.120 Pickeled and oiled. It typically runs me between $3 and $4 a foot out here. The HR has a milscale finish on it... a little dingy and you have to grind it off before you weld. The "pickeled and oiled" (HRPO) has a pretty, clean finish, that requires no grinding or sanding before welding.
