WTB, double groove water pump pulley, I-6

Bought one from a board member that we both thought would fit on a 250 even though it came off a 292. When I tried to bolt it on my 250 it hits the water pump before it even gets close to being bolted tight.

Anyone have the correct water pump double pulley for a 250 with power steering?

Thanks,

Mike D.

Hey Mike, I have a few different I-6 wp pulleys around here, can you make out a part number on the pulley that you just tried and confirmed as not going to work? IIRC, you are going to need a two groove pulley with the pn ending in 7796, let me know if that is the one you just tried.

Classic,

I think I found locally with the part number that you mentioned. I'll let you know.

Thanks for your quick response.

No problem, what are the last four digits of the part number on that pulley you tried and cannot use, I may be interested in it?

It did come off a 292. If I remember correctly, 292's have a slightly longer impeller shaft than the rest of the I-6 family. That would explain why this one won't work for me.
