Re: backspace problem

Probably the center bore is the wrong size too. I bought some billet adapters from:
Laura Dai
Instant Tools Inc.
29724 Avenida De Las Banderas
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688
Tel: 949-459-9588
Fax: 949-459-9506

Model number 6550-6550BWM. They fit perfectly. I put some 16" tahoe wheels on my '66 GMC. It's hard finding six-lug adapters that have a large center bore to fit over the huge thing that GM used as a hub early on; this place was the only one I could find. I used 1.25" thick with 14mm studs for the newer wheels. Looks like this now:

$20 each including lug nuts, best deal on the planet IMO.

Ironically you could have just bought some Toyota wheels and bolted them right on.

Yeah, I know. You want the ones with a 108mm (large) center bore, that's the hard part.
