Coverting A/D truck from 3/4 to 1/2 ton 5 lug old school

I read on here some where that the front drum set up from a 1950`s chevy sedan will bolt up to a 1/2 ton front axle on one of these trucks. ( no luck on the searches for me) do any of you guys remember reading a thread on this? I found the hub assys and was given a front axle.
