motor mounts/engine perches for a 61

Anyone know where I can get the side perches/mounts for a 61? It currently has a 350 with the mount on the front(below harmonic balancer)and each side of the bellhousing. I've seen these side mounts for the 4-5-6 trucks but not the 61. I want to change the mount so I can install power steering. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I am using the regular '63-'72 side mounts in my '62. You need to drill holes to make them work, but then you've got side mounts.

why do you have to change the mounts to install p/s. you are on a 3 point system and that is all yhat is required for proper eng mounting.

I may be wrong and someone please correct me if I am;but I think the power steering brackets have to bolt on where the front motor mount is bolted.

If you just need to mount power steering, why not consider the water pump mounted bracket from March Performance? Here's a link:

They make them for both short and long water pump set ups.

If that is the stk sbc frt mount there should be a p/s bkt to fit. if that is also the stk mt there are a few people lloking for one.
you can put in the late perches but I think that you have to do a little notching in the frame to make them fit (nothing serious) as the later frames are a little wider. you can also buy after market perches which take the newer style of insulators, but you still need a little modifying.
shouldn't be to much of a problem to put in (fab) a brkt to fit from something nwer

Thanks for the info guys! I really like that summit bracket because it's a bolt on. Plan on keeping the truck standard shift anyway so I don't really need the side mounts. Thanks again. Bo
