Where did this spring go?

I was putting the e-brake assy back in today with all the cables and lines and ended up with this spring that I don't know where it goes. I had put it in a baggie along with other part labeled e-brake stuff. All the other stuff I was able to figure out but not this. Please do not tell me that after putting stuff back togather you did not end up with stuff you couldn't figure where it went. I on the other hand did end up with this and ask your expert advice. Please help...

Re: Where did this spring go?

its the spring that pops the pedal back up when you pull the release. you can barely make out the hole in the pic where it goes right after the teeth in the gear. i'm pretty sure i have a 67,68 so i don't have anything to reference. might be wrong

Re: Where did this spring go?

that particular spring looks to big for the e-brake assy, it looks like the spring to the bench seat adjuster to me not sure.

Re: Where did this spring go?

It may be the spring that goes on the end of the E-brake cable under the truck. There is a hole at the end of the threaded section that has the adjustment nuts on it. Where the intermediate brake cable is. The spring pulls the E-brake cable back from the e-brake peddle.

It may well be this one you are talking about. There is a hole in the end of this cable and I wondered what went there. I do not know where it hooks on to though, anybody got any ideas?

Re: Where did this spring go?

What about a seat spring? I had a spring that resembled that on my bench, and I know that you have buckets... just trying to help you figure it out.

And if we only get to see pics one spring at a time, we will be there with you through out this build!
