GMC gets to wear Corvair rear view mirror

After my Rear view mirror falling off the truck for the last time, i decided to take some much needed action.... I stole the mirror off my 65' corvair and mounted it into the truck.... I couldn't find the power drill, so i had to use a screw driver, anyone who's ever manually drilling holes into these trucks, knows what i went through, i cannot find my usb cable for pics, but they'll be up shortly i'm sure.... Looks and fits great.... It'd take someone that knows these trucks to know the difference.

Re: GMC gets to wear Corvair rear view mirror

When I first got my '67 Suburban in 1993, the PO had glued on a '72 &-later style rearview mirror. Problem was it was a cheap off-shore knock off and wobbled considerably at freeway speed. [When you really need to keep an eye peeled for cops.] Years earlier, when I was junking the family '64 Olds wagon, my Dad said to save anything usefull. So I still had the rearview mirror bracket. I recognized it as the same as the one in my '68 Stepside, only chromed, not flat black, so I screwed it right on. The holes were already there from the original.
Worked great.

Take a flathead screwdriver and plug into your USB port. Wrap a wire clothes hanger around the metal shaft of the screwdriver no less than 4 coils worth. Then stick the other end of the clothes hanger in the side of your camera. That should work for you. Can't wait to see the pics.

Finally, the cord was found for the camera... Here's a pic of the mirror, if anyone still cares to see.

Since this pic was taken, i put the 3rd screw in. lol. I was all outta arm strength from the first two to finish it right away.... No more glue to worry about anymore.
