Home brew Rotisserie??

Hey guys, my dad has asked me to come on here and see what any of you have came up for as regards to a frame/body Rotisserie that has worked well for these trucks. He isn't afraid of a couple hundred dollars in supplies, but doesn't want to spend a bundle on it. Have any of you rigged something pretty nice that is strong enough. Seems I remember someone using two engine holders welded to square tubing that seem to work pretty good. My dad has had both his knees replaced and has a fused back from a bad car accident so anything that can help him from being "Cock-eyed" or from being underneath something will help out in getting the truck rebuilt.

MYy B-I-L built one like you describe. It's been a good while.Idoubt his design would work since he built it to do a dune buggy frame.

Re: Home brew Rotisserie??

I cut a longbed frame right in front of the cab mounts and right behind the trailing arm crossmember (on a lwb that crossmember is a few inches behind the cab, which allows great access to the floorpans) and put casters on it. Here's where it gets kind of funny: I was able to tip a completely gutted cab up by myself and balance it on the rear casters and the support bearing bracket and work on the underside!
