anybody lifting a 72 k20?

I need pics of the stock rear springs... my SPID sticker also says somthing about heavy duty springs. would that be in addition to the k20 springs?

I've got a 4" block lift in back, which I want to keep so I can keep the 3/4 ton springs for towing, but one of my leaves is busted, and I need to know if it's a stock spring, or an "add on"....

Re: anybody lifting a 72 k20?

I don't have pics, sorry -- but I do have stock rear springs on my light-duty K20, with add-a-leafs that I put in a long time ago.

Not counting the add-a-leafs, I have a 5-leaf pack that's ~2" thick, plus the ~5/8" spacer atop the spring pad.

If your sticker says HD springs, I believe that would be your spring pack, not something extra. Any additional hardware would be overload springs.

Yeah I think stocker is on the right track there... the HD springs are the spring pack.

My spid has been painted over so I don't know if the overload springs are factory of not but I hope this helps. 71 3/4 4x4

sweet70beast, you have aftermarket overloads atop your factory spring packs...

Re: anybody lifting a 72 k20?

That's what I figured. I haven't seen any other trucks with these springs.

I don't have the overloads, but in your top pic, the shortest, thickest spring on the bottom is the one that I have that's broken...

That spring pack (minus the overloads) look exactly like mine... your broken spring is original, not an add-on or overload.
