Radiator help needed

Hey guys,
I need to replace my old 4 core radiator in my '71 1/2 ton. Would like an aluminum one but have one concern. The bottom outlet on the original radiator is bent upward, not staight out.

All the aluminum ones I have found so far have the outlet coming straight out and I don't think they'll work. Have any of you guys found a direct fit radiator that is no more than $250-$350?

I be interested even in a rad. out of a newer model truck that has the plastic tanks with aluminum core that is a direct fit, if possible.

By the way its a 2wd., 350, automatic, with a/c.

Thanks,

James

NO I haven't.
I think in the old days, radiator shops would stock the radiator core itself.
They would then remove your tanks and whatever, from your old radiator, and solder them to you new one.
But I don't know how that would work going to an aluminum radiator.

i am running the 73 up water pump, accessories, & hoses. That lets me run the straight neck on the radiator that the 73 up truck run. You will find that the fan will sit a couple inches closer to the radiator(mine is in I 6 position on the stands), so i have no problem.....still need a little spacer to get the fan in the shroud. I think you can fit the later pump in factory V8 position, but may need to trim the shroud a bit to get that 1/2 in 1/2 out fit. Good luck, crazyL
