Axle Swap
Okay.. lookingto swap in a G80 axle hopefully with GT5(4.10) or HC4(4.56) ratios. Question is though, will it bolt up to a '68 C20 or will it need to be modified a bit? I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to a custom drive train.

Re: Axle Swap
Not sure where you are getting your option numbers, nor what exactly it is you hope to swap in...
the RPO G80 is an overload spring. 4.10 gear is option HB8 4.56 ratio is option H20 What rear do you have now, and what are you wanting to put in there? |

Re: Axle Swap
G80 is the late model RPO for a GM locker, with the GT5 and others being for ratios dependent on model.

Re: Axle Swap
I to would be interested in info on this. I have a 68 C20 also. I know you would have to weld perches for the trailing arms.
