I have installed a 98 model Explorer rear sway bar on my 69. Easy install and NO drilling. It was narrow enough to fit rearward if that makes sense. Alot of people use the Camaro rear bar but as I noticed it it too wide so you have to weld brackets on the frame. This one fits perfect beside the frame rail and you can use holes that are already in the frame. It is 3/4" diameter or 19mm which may be too small for some, frome what I have seen bigger isn't better on the rear of a truck. I will post some pics this afternoon.

Very interesting. I just did the Camaro bar. I made spacer blocks which I need to cut in half to make it right. Please post pictures and show everyone how it goes.

Did someone change the picture size limits? I have posted many pics and now they are all to big to download. I haven't changed anything on my camera so the site must have changed. I will post them when I can get them smaller.

I'd be interested too as there's much more chance of finding a ford exploder in a junkyard here in the UK than a Camaro as they were sold in RHD here for a while.

Ya know, this gets me to thinking. I have a rear swaybar off my old jeep grand cherokee as well as a camaro bar. Maybe I'll check and see how the jeep bar fits too.

Yes, when the site updated, the the software set picture size limits back to a certain default. Not sure when all the tweaks will be done (or if it can be) to return to the old limits. Current set size limits are a max of 640 wide and a max file size of 100K.

Here's an easy utility to resize pics and it's free from Microsoft. Download the image resizer from this page. It's as easy as right clicking the file and selecting resize. It creates a new resized image without altering the original.

Does this work with coil spring rear suspension, leaf spring rear suspension, or both?

I'll try this again. Here are 3 pics. I didn't make myself clear that this is mounted on a leaf rear. As far as how it mounts to the frame it would be the same as a trailing arm rear. Some creativity would be in order for trailing arms. If anyone needs measurements I will be more specific.

The driver side link is mounted directly to the frame in some holes(slots) that were from the factory. The pass. side link I had to add a spacer as you can see because I didn't want to move my exhaust. If you don't want the spacer then you can take that link loose from the sway bar and move it to the inside of the bar and you could mount it without a spacer. It dosen't hang any lower that the rear end as you can see from the end picture. I need to do some more mods on how I mounted to the axle. Also it will go above the axle but for me and my exhaust it was easier on the bottom. If had installed it earlier in the build I could have concealed it better but Oh well.
