Pergo bed floor?
I know it sounds a little flakey, but there are some really sharp looking laminate floors out there these days. I've been considering a flat sheet steel bed floor with the laminate strips and maybe a shallow stainless stainless strip in between to complete the look. I'm worried about UV resistance and what the finished product might look like. Anyone tried it, or even considered it?

Maybe they have changed it in the last 10 years but the base product of my Pergo flooring is sawdust and glue (Particle Board). It wouldn't last through one good rain or wash job.... LockDoc

You didn't say why you're looking at different ideas,so I'll assume it's the cost of a new floor(if this isn't the case then please forgive me) .From someone who has bought a new oak floor recently,I can't blame you for looking at your options.These things are not cheap!I have to agree with what's been said so far though,laminate isn't meant for this kind of exposure.If you've ruled out oak,maybe a stained pressure treated would be another option?It would take a bit of woodwork to get it to fit,and you're supposed to give it a year before you stain it,but it should last very well.

Here are pics of the inside of my bed... it is 3/4 plywood wrapped with black vinyl on the botton and 1/4 luann on the front and sides.. I made it match the interior of the truck... Gets wet and I dry it off... Plus the wood dries because of the way the bed floor is ribbed..
The last pic is a truck that was on ebay with a fake wood floor over a steel floor... I like it too and may change mine in time to something like this..

Why not try and get some of those fake deck boards? They are made to take the abuse over numerous years. Won't be as pretty as real wood but it's made to last.
