WTB: tailgate seal components

Hi everyone. I'm looking for the brackets and seal that goes on the back of a 1st gen Blazer. See the pics. Please post if you have any, and what the price is please. Thanks

Re: WTB: tailgate seal components

This has been an interest and need of mine recently. I got 2 sets of the vertical pieces from members but out of the 4 parts I got, 3 had small rust holes in them after media blasting, so I too am looking for just one more completely intact vertical part or I may just have to paint it and live with the pin holes I have. Also, I got the weatherstrip part like you see in BobbyK from Car an Truck shop in Orange California. They were great to deal with. I will sent you the address when I find it. bigdon

Thanks anyway, but I'm only looking for the ones in the picture.

Thanks bigdon, that'll work. The pics are from something that bobbyk posted a couple of weeks ago. I didn't know that he was actually selling the weatherstrip though. You don't see these a lot, and any of the junkyards I've been to don't have blazers at all; mostly trucks. Maybe if there was a good enough market, we can possibly get the vertical parts reproduced. Just a thought though.

Re: WTB: tailgate seal components

He was not actually selling the weather strip or the parts, he was responding to my question in an earlier post and sent me pics of what he did. Good luck, maybe I will get lucky also!

Re: WTB: tailgate seal components

I have the 2 side strips that have been rechromed and the rear hold down piece but it needs some work. Also are the rear hold downs different from the front?

Do you have any pics of them? As for the rear hold down, what type of work does it need? I'm not sure about the difference between the front and rear pieces. How much are you asking for them? Shipped?

Re: WTB: tailgate seal components

Heres some pics of the strips. I have 2 of the side strips rechromed and I only have one of the long strips left but the pic does show 2. The long strip needs work on the bottom side but the top is still pretty nice.. If you need and more pics let me know and ill dig em out of storage..

FRENCHBLUE72, can you get some pics of the bottom of the floor strips? I was able to get the side pieces (thanks harry) but still need that one. Please let me know.

Re: WTB: tailgate seal components

Thanks anyway FRENCHBLUE72, but that's a bit more work than what I can handle at this moment.

Are there any others that have the bottom piece?
