Idle Speed

How many RPM’s do you set you idle at? Also is it a manual or automatic?

That all depends on the engine/cam setup. Some engines will run fine with as little as 750 rpm (small cam) while other require much more (outrageous cam).

Mine is just the stock 283 with a two barrel.

My book indicates 550 RPM for a manual and 650 for an auto in Park. That's for a 350.
