I found a decent dash pad in a big truck, but was told by the owner that it was different from a regular full size truck dash pad. Visually it looks the same. Does anyone know what the difference is. Maybe it's wider?? My son and I are working on the interior for a 86 4x4 short box.

first off welcome to the board.. i know of no diferences but im hardly an expert on big trucks... the one to ask would be Captkaos as he sells parts here... even if it was a different genre of the square body truck i thought they would all interchange

It should be the same. Keep in mind, the 73-78 pads are diff than the 79-80 (vin cut out on the 79-80), and the 73-80 pads are diff than the 81 up...but in general, they all interchange and bolt in.
