Re: Burbin around photos

well... the joy and bliss had to end sometime.
I went out this morning to fire it up, was gonna drive it to work. Twist the key... nothing. Nothing but the dome light getting dim as I twist the key to the start position.
Then, I suddenly remember...
As I was putting the engine back in the truck, I had that funny sickening feeling that i was forgetting something.
I tripple checked EVERYTHING but it all seemed to check out.
Well, my dad asked me... didn't you just replace that starter last spring?
no... I needed to though
That feeling of forgetting something was the thought in the back of my head of wanting to replace the starter while the engine was out.

Geeeee...I feel for you. I had the same issues with my 70cst but hopefully when it comes back from the shop the starter issues will be put to rest. By the way...nice pics. I can't wait to get my truck back so I can take it out for a Sunday drive.

Re: Burbin around photos

oh dude!!! your burb's on the hook! I feel for ya man. at least it was close to home/work and not somewhere between WA and OH at 3:00 AM in the middle of nowhere.

I am alot like you in that I find old technology intriguing. I'm digging those locks.

about the 68 472. yes they are high compression. I have one in the garage and I am getting another soon. I can steal it for 150 bones, complete.

the small town parts store reminds me of one I was at back in 92. a guy walked in asking for shocks for his 86 C10. the parts guy told him they could have them in 4 or 5 days. he said "OK, sounds good to me".

Thanks for sharing, Andy.
Great pics.

And....I'm really diggin' that very rare paint job. They just don't do them like that anymore.

Kidding aside, looks great & like you had a fun time.

Yep... the dead bugs won.
Or... did they, thay are after all, dead now.
That reminds me of a joke I heard the other day in class (Aviation Maintenance)-

Pilot: Dead bugs on windshield.

Technician: Live bugs on back-order.

And that reminded me of this one, which I think is funnier:

Pilot: Evidence of hydraulic fluid leaking on front landing gear.

Technician: Evidence removed.
