I am interested in making the door on my 67 long bed into one similar to that of the blazer/ jimmy. I would like to have a one piece window and no door frame showing with the windows down, kinda like the suberus... Any ideas for me? I think this would be a trick little mod to clean up the look of the truck and match my shaved drip rails...

hmmm... that's a tough one. at least it is if you don't want it to leak.

I'm curious what ideas other people have.

you'd have to build up the cab area where the window would "meet" the frame. lots of measuring, lots of welding, lots of fabrication time. the blazers had this already built into the removable top.

i was thinking of building a little peice for the rubber to attach to all the way around the door frame... just to bring the rubber out to the window.

If you have to cajones to do away with the drip rail, achieving the goal of no window frame on your door should be a piece of cake.

I have also thought that this would be a nice change-of-pace, especially since the original concept seemed to hint of a "hardtop" profile. The earlier styles, as well as those since, all seem bulky in comparison. I think I remember the original designer, Larry Bentley Bradley, saying that the look was somewhat effeminate, with the thin window frame.

Geeze, never thought I'd be owning an effeminate truck. Almost hurt my feelings....
