missing hatch, parts

hello

i'm new to the Blazer owners club but have wanted to be in the club for years. I recently bought a 1972 K-5 Blazer, the vehicle is beautiful but it is in need of a rear hatch, and all the brackets hinges and everything can anyone help me, I'm currently in Iraq and my Blazer is in Oregon i want it to be ready when i go on my midtour leave, if any one has one they can part with i know it will be expensive and so will the shipping but it's the missing part to my blazer. I do know that i can get a reproduction rear hatch on Manes website and glass and rubber on LMC but it's the hinges, brackets and locking parts that i can't find.

thanks jason

I've got the hinges...

Send me your address and they're yours....free, zilch, nada. Read this post and you'll know why, it's kind of a new courtesy thing that's going around the board. Try and keep it going, we're trying to see how many people will do it.

Re: missing hatch, parts

Here is something else for free, good advice.

DO NOT buy a repro hatch unless you want a major headache and a $550 piece of fiberglass that doesn't fit.

After personally hearing this same type of comment from from three different people who have bought, I would do a little bit of research on these re-pro blazer hatches before spending the $$$.

I am also in Oregon and you can look me up when you get home, I would most likely have a complete hatch and top setup fs/available.

Re: missing hatch, parts

Ok my dumb question for the day. Are the hatches the same for a double wall, and a single wall top? I had a hatch off of a double the other day to clean up, and replace the weather strip. The darn things seem heavy
