Is a vented cap enough?

Hi guys! I was doing some research on a different way to vent my gas tank. I know that normally people just coil up some tubing as there vent but I was hoping for something less bulky. I read that some people just use a vented cap which i am using but is it enough? I thought about installing a one way check valve allowing air to come into the tank and use the vented cap to allow air to go out of the tank but thought i would see what others thought. The gas cap vent is just a really small pinhole probably 1/16 big. I was worried it wouldn't be big enough hole to let the hot air/fumes out. It has been a long day and my brain hurts so any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

Josh

Not to sound like a smart a$$ but vented caps worked on these trucks for 40 or so years. Unless you have a monster gas sucking race motor i think the vented cap will work just fine....

No worries! The reason i am asking is because i am not using anything stock. It is all custom built and aftermarket parts. I just wanted to double check.
