Hood hinges w/22s?

Ive got a 69 short bed and im gonna run the porterbuilt front crossmember, with a 22 in wheel.. What do i need to do with the stock hood hinges??

remove them and get different ones...there going to be in the way.

sad but true stock hinges are bye-bye if you're laying it out. totally worth it tho

right now I have the parts to do the suicide using buick parts but not sure I wanna go that route. If you look in the faqs Rockcrln did a awesome write up on the buick hinge and the was a post ( search mercedes hinge) on a couple of options to keep a trad. open hood style. You can also check out Mark Barbee's truck with the full actuated hood if you wanna go crazy

i know i have seen some pics of hinges coming out of the firewall or either the wiper cowl. maybe someone can point you in the right direction.
