JL Audio has a new TW5 series 12" and 13.5" subwoofer that is only 2.5" deep! They only need 0.63 or 0.8 cubic foot box, that is thin enough to fit under the driver and/or passenger seat. Unfortunately the price ranges from $319.00 up to $569.00, which is a pipe dream for me, but hopefully this could help someone out.

I just saw 2 13.5" behind the seat of an 04 Vette. The way it was hitting, I would have swore it was 2 10 or 12w6's. I was very impressed. At just over $550 a speaker though. . . Just a little steep for me.
